The project consists of the construction of a 225,195 square foot, three-story slab-on-grade, mass timber frame research and design facility, with labs, offices, a commercial kitchen and dining facilities, and associated building support spaces. This project is Phase 1 of the new HP Vancouver campus.
 

The site will use an Alerton Compass front-end, the Alerton VIP line of BACnet IP controllers for (15) lab air handling units, and physical plant control. This project will also utilize the new Alerton VAV BACnet IP controllers, with an integrated actuator to control (231) VAVs and FPBs. 
 

The site has extensive 3rd party integration via BACnet IP/MSTP and Modbus network protocols. Integrating with air-cooled chilled water heat pumps, water source heat pumps, ABB variable frequency drive for fan and pump control, CRAC units, VRF system, lighting controls, and electrical submetering.
 

An Energy Dashboard will display energy use data measured by the electrical sub-metering, solar photovoltaic system, and hot/chilled/domestic water meters. 
 

This project will pursue LEED v4 gold and ILFI Net Zero Carbon certifications.
