The project consists of the complete retrofit of the Building Automation System in conjunction with the replacement of all the critical mechanical systems in the facility. Includes rooftop air handling units, terminal units, CUP (central utility plant), boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs, etc.
This project has the added complexity of working in an occupied correctional facility. The scope of work is divided into multiple phases to accommodate the correctional staff and the inmate's comfort and safety.
The site will use a Distech Controls Niagara front-end, Distech Controls ECLYPSE Building Intelligence line of BACnet IP controllers for Central Utility Plant’s new chillers and boilers, and rooftop air handling units. This project will also utilize Distech Controls Connected VAV BACnet IP controllers, with an integrated actuator, for VAV and Fan Powered Box control.
The project includes 3rd party integration via BACnet IP/MSTP and Modbus network protocols. Integrating with the new chillers, boilers, air handling units, and ABB variable frequency drives for all fan and pump control.
